Christian children are growing up in what has been called a “post-Christian” world where traditional beliefs and values can no longer be taken for granted. As they assume their adult responsibilities, they will be faced with challenges and temptations that seek to subvert or even destroy their Christian faith.
At Highlands, we believe that one of the keys to advancing the Kingdom of Jesus Christ is through building strong Christian families. Therefore, helping all Christian parents, regardless of church affiliation, to raise godly children is one of the most important ministries we can do.
At Highlands we want to help YOU train THEM to think Biblically and act righteously for the glory of God. Our goal is not to replace home-based instruction, but supplement it by offering a series of challenging, academic courses that help provide children with a consistent, Biblical worldview.
The home-school courses we offer are college level; which means that the average home-school student finds them interesting, but not difficult. The suggested age range is 14-18.
At the present time, these courses are being offered in residence only; in Spokane. However, we hope to develop our on-line capabilities so that lectures can be directly downloaded and examinations taken from the Internet.

About Highlands Reformed…
Many people ask, “What is a ‘reformed’ church?” The adjective “Reformed” describes those Christians who accept the evangelical doctrines recovered during the Great Reformation of the 16th and 17th centuries (and summarized in such creedal statements as the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms). As a Reformed Church, we confess the Living and True, Triune God who created all things to reveal His glory, sovereignty and majesty. We believe that His written Word, the Bible, is the supreme and final standard for faith and practice. We acknowledge our inability to save ourselves and that God’s Holy Spirit must regenerate individual hearts so that sinful men can repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ alone, for salvation.
The Reformed Faith is a comprehensive and consistent Biblical worldview tying all of the Holy Scriptures together- proclaiming the crown rights of King Jesus over every area of life. We emphasize building strong Christian families and training our covenant children to grow into disciplined, Christian men and women dedicated to the glory of God.
While we love visitors, we want to serve the broader Christian home-school community by providing high quality academic instruction, not usually available to the average church. We are here to help build the Kingdom, not a church.
We are committed to extending His reign in our lives, families, work, and broader culture until “every knee bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord…”
